COUNSELLING IS NON-JUDGEMENTAL, RESPECTFUL, INCLUSIVE & CONFIDENTIAL
With over 24 years' experience in clinical counselling, supporting people across the lifespan, I have worked with children, adolescents, adults & family groups in the areas of relationship conflict, mental & emotional health such as anxiety & depression, loss & grief & many other complex, challenging & discomforting issues.

Counselling facilitates self-awareness, understanding & development, enabling one’s own capacity to cope with life’s challenges.

Counselling is a process of conversations that explore thoughts, feelings and behaviours that may impact on functioning of the self & in relation to others. The intervention can be brief or longer term.

The counselling environment I create is a warm, supportive & safe space to feel empowered to facilitate self-efficacy & awareness. Therapeutic interventions are aimed at promoting health & wellbeing, facilitating positive change, improving interpersonal life skills & relationships, & achieving personal goals.

I am able to 'walk with you', in this process that you own.

Lisa Menzel
Testimonial
I first met Lisa when I was 13. At the time, my family was breaking down and I was acting out. I was depressed, self-destructive and was isolating myself from the people who cared for me.
I left home when I was 15, with Lisa's guidance and support we managed to work through some of the issues within my family and I was able to maintain a relationship with them. Lisa supported me through my fathers' sudden death when I was 16 and helped me to turn my life around.
I am now 19, am studying community services and am applying to university mid-year to study social sciences. I am in a happy and stable relationship and am now very close with my family. None of this seemed possible 6 years ago.
Lisa inspired me to change my life. She supported me through all of the most traumatic and heartbreaking times and I would not be where I am today if it were not for her. My family and I will be eternally grateful for everything Lisa has done for us. She brought my family closer than I thought was ever possible, helped create a bright future, inspired and mentored me to be the person I am.
I am so appreciative for all of Lisa's patience and support.
Thank you Lisa.
